Bullying: Your opinion

It's such a shame that bullying exists in our society. Most schools talk a good game about how bad bullying is, but few actually take serious measures to prevent it. Sometimes, bullying happens right in front of teachers, and they don't do anything about it. It's terrible, really.

What do you think about it?

I feel that schools aren't doing enough to address the issue on bullying. Sure, they hold assemblies and things like that to discuss the dangers of bullying, but does anything really get done about it outside the assembly? No! Or if anything does get done, it's very little. It's sad, to say the least.

You'd think they'd be doing more with all the teens committing suicide in the news. D:

Well, you'd think so, and if anything is happening, obviously it's not happening fast or soon enough.

I think schools should take more serious measures, and make an example of their bullies, if a kid comes to a teacher or higher-up about a bully, the kid should give them the name of the bully and that should be forwarded to the principal and disciplinary actions should be taken, perhaps even expulsion.
